I was wondering if anyone took this and if it worked for them? I remember at one point I tried it, and was taking this each day and it seemed to work, but then it stopped working. I'm just curious if anyone is really having long term success with this?
I've been taking the Calcium Carbonate 3 times a day since March 4th and I've seen a huge difference. You do need to start slowly though, otherwise you'll go the opposite direction and become constipated. I was already taking 2 per day (for osteoporosis), so I first added another 1/2 pill (2-1/2 per day). Then I went to 3 a day. If I get constipated I back off a little. Hope it helps!
Ruby: Your body only absorbs 60% of the calcium carbonate. The remainder acts as a "binder" in the lower bowel. It does help D without the cramping and too full feeling you get with immodium. So, if you have C, you certainly don't want to take something that will bind you even more!!!
I'm currently working on a Project and I would love it if you guys could help me out. It's based around my journey with IBS but I would also love it if I could include the stories of other people.
