In general, life has been good. I have been trying to tell myself that I can work; it just hasn't worked out that way yet. I never know when I will need to use the bathroom; whether it be because of something I ate or otherwise, but I just hate that…

Profile Information

Which of the following do you have:
IBS-D (Diarrhea)
Date of Birth:
October 5, 1974
Sex:
Female
City/State:
PA
Country:
USA
Relationship Status:
Engaged
Occupation/Work:
Towing Dispatcher (when I can)
What do you do for fun?
reading, writing, spending time on the computer, coloring, drawing, creating vases and other gifts, etc.
How long have you lived with IBS?
I have been living with IBS for about 10 years now, since I've had my gallbladder out; I have had nothing but problems with IBS. I watch what I eat (okay, I slip up once in awhile), but still nothing helps. For me, it is worse in the mornings when I first wake up! The pain, embarrassment, the noises, the pain (I know I said this already)!
When did you realize you had IBS?
after I had my gallbladder out.
Most embarassing IBS moment:
Soiling myself because I couldn't find a restroom in time. I didn't carry a back-up pair because I didn't know I had IBS at the time! Now, I don't leave home without one! (and a plastic bag to put the soiled pair in until I get home)!
How do you do treat your IBS?
usually with otc meds, but I have made an appt with a GI specialist for Sept 18; so I hope to find some other kinds of relief!

Life

In general, life has been good. I have been trying to tell myself that I can work; it just hasn't worked out that way yet.
I never know when I will need to use the bathroom; whether it be because of something I ate or otherwise, but I just hate that I have to know where the bathrooms are.

I just want one good day where I don't have to go; but then with me being on steroids because of asthma; it sucks.

Life in general is good.

Hello! I take probiotics. Florastor works REALLY well. Have you tired that? Also, diet is important. Look up the Paleo Diet, it really is an amazing diet. Lots of info on Google and around here as well. Feel better! Glad you are on this site!
