How long have you lived with IBS?
Since i was like 14 or 15... my grandpa passed away, i flew to colorado for the funeral and was sick the entire week. After that it's been off and on for years, i can usually trace my attacks to what i've eaten although sometimes its stress enduced...those are harder to cope with...

How do you do treat your IBS?
eat right and exercise also take things like pepto or bentyl when needed... I've pretty much given up all foods i use to love, well i still do, but they're not worth the discomfort...now i pretty much eat the same things everyday, they're healthy things but they can get old...now my main attacks are usually stress enduced... I'm determined to control this...

i totally agree... i think the whole IBS thing in my life is STRESS induced... never knew too much of thinking led only to stress and is not something to be proud of...
Same, I work out atleast 5 days a week...while working full time....and starting school again in sept. lol. It's hard, like you said nothing is fool proof, sometimes I will eat crackers and get deathly ill. I just do my best and I have a great b.f who is incredibly supportive. Oh, and I take immodium..that stuff works great!
I completely agree, I wish I could go eat lots of food and go drive around and go on road trips...it's the small things that bother me lol. It doesn't bother me as much as it use to though, you get use to living your life a certain way, doing or not doing certain things.
i agree. i hate the self-perpetuating nature of it. i feel like the most helpful thing i could do for myself is to manage my stress level, or at least how i respond to it, but that seems to be challenging for me. i have some other issues that i definitely think are very linked to my physical condition.
so, do you also have some good days?

I'm currently working on a Project and I would love it if you guys could help me out. It's based around my journey with IBS but I would also love it if I could include the stories of other people.
