The last day or two have been a big improvement on recent weeks. I have cut down almost to nothing my intake of dairy products and drink only two cups (max) of tea. The rest of the time I'm on decaff coffee and water. I have been able to go out without navigating by gents toilets. I don't know how other sufferers go on but, to whatever town I go, my first job is to locate the gents toilets and then grade them according to their acceptability. I feel very encouraged by the response to my first post, not that I expect to become a target for fan mail. Still, a first time for everything.
The improvement of yesterday has been maintained today although I still feel a bit hungover and down: the arthritis hasn't helped any in this.

I never dreamed at one time that my first blog entry would be on a space for IBS sufferers! You never know what's round the corner.
Today has been a much better day but the last fortnight has been absolutely horrendous.
