- I like to mostly hang out with my boyfriend because he is very understanding and if everytime i have to go to the bathroom he would stand outside to cover for me. I feel very lucky. I love going out for bike rides, watching movies, and mostly on my computer.
- What do you do for fun?
- Go out with friends, stay up late watching movies.
- How long have you lived with IBS?
- For about a year now. I have always had stomach aches when i was a kid, esp when i go out for dinner.
- When did you realize you had IBS?
- when i got back from a trip from asia.
- Most embarassing IBS moment:
- probably when i was in vietnam going to the beaches in a charter bus, and then for some odd reason they do not have the little bathroom in the back of the bus, instead they had an extra seat and i really had to go. I had to wait till we reached a temple and then went there. It was one of those squarding toliets. Not pleasent at all. I notice that i was always constipated in vietnam. i figure that my body couldnt adjust to the food there because it was so dirty.
- How do you do treat your IBS?
- I drink a dietary tea when i have free time for the next day and it makes me go if i am constipated. I stopped recently to see if i can go on my own. it is just when i have school i have to do it or else i get pain and D at school. Can't focus.

- yeah its the same for me. i've been to a bunch of natural doctors. i haven't been particularly impressed with any of them. they're incredibly expensive too. it's driving me insane. nothing really rinses me out properly. which herbal tea are you drinking? does it clean you out really well or do you still feel like there's still something there?

- problem is i can't work around it. it just kept getting worse for me and got pretty bad starting last year.ever since i held in D for over an over, my gut thinks it still needs to hold on. i wish i could offer more.
i've tried a bunch of the suggestions there and along with a few other alternative methods, but they didn't help me much. however, they might help you since everybody is different.
have you taken probiotics? some people swear by them to rebalance their intestinal flora, especially since yours started in vietnam and you have alternating C and D.

- your story sounds somewhat like mine. i had minor tummy issues before. then i held in D for an hr and ended up C... there's a theory somewhere that after a tremendous amount of stress, the 'brain' in the guts get stuck in stress mode. holding in crap is crazy ass stress. this link explains it better than i can.
