- Hi Raj! Immodium plus are good for an all round tablet. Helps diarrohia, cramps, wind and bloating. Peppermint oil is meant to be effective and I find peppermint tea helps if I feel uncomfortable. Aloe vera is also meant to be good. I've tried different things and have yet to find something that is really effective for me. The best bet is to try different things to see what works for you. I read different things about what people have said works and found that it doesn't work for me so I'm guessing different things are better for different people. Medicine wise some people like mebeverine. If I do get a prescription I get loperamide (which is in immodium). This is more a way to deal with the symptoms once they have arisen rather than to stop them occurring in the first place. I've just started bimuno and I thought it was working but then I had a flare up last night. I will carry on with it because that has very good reviews. I've just read that you have anti-depresents. Do they help? I was going to ask my Dr about them but haven't done yet.
